According to the Chinese horoscope, the Year of the Dog 2018 is a good time for lifestyle changes and starting new business ventures. However, 2018 is also a Mountain Dog Year. Mountain dogs can be pretty wild, so you might well encounter some obstacles before your plans come to fruition. You’ll need your wits about you to get through any blockades and out onto the open road ahead.
These three tips could help clear your path.
1. Practice Three New Habits
Small steps lead to big changes. Identify three new things that will help you reach your goals. It takes 30 to 50 repetitions to form a habit, so stop just thinking about them and put them into practice. In a month or so, they’ll become automatic as can be.
2. Get Agile
Adopt "Agile" techniques for managing your tasks. Agile’s greatest contribution to task management is breaking big jobs down into short iterative sprints. Having a solution in hand throughout any process reduces the anxiety of tackling big jobs, avoiding procrastination and the feeling of being overloaded.
3. Work On Your Posture, Everyday
Good posture improves both your presence and your health, so it’s well worth a little effort. Stand lightly with your weight evenly distributed (mostly through the balls of your feet rather than your heels). Imagine you are suspended by a string that runs from the ceiling to the top of your head, gently keeping your neck and back aligned.
Remember, this coming year will be what you make it. My feline self is still adjusting to the canine year, but I am confident that my efforts and focus will help me reach my goals.
I wish you all the best in these auspicious times!
